King of Spain, posthumous son of Alfonso XII of Spain, was proclaimed King at his birth. He reigned from 1886–1931. Manuscript DS, in Spanish, signed “Alfonso RH,” one black-bordered page, 9.5 x 14, December 2, 1912. An official letter of state to the president of Bolivia introducing Don Marcario Pinilla as his Royal Majesty’s Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary. Signed at the conclusion by Alfonso and countersigned by his minister of foreign affairs. Intersecting folds, punch holes to left edge, and some scattered light edge wear, otherwise fine condition.
