Fourteen steel-engraved portraits (one used as frontispiece) with tissue guards and two engraved vignettes. Facsimile document from Major General George Meade certifying the accuracy of Bachelder's illustration of the battlefield bound in front.<BR><BR>Brown cloth over beveled boards with titles and floral decoration stamped in gilt on the spine and front and back boards. All edges gilt. Gift inscription on the second front free endpaper dated 1930. Light shelf wear, mainly at the corners.
