This is a wonderfully hand crafted Kentucky Long Flintlock rifle from circa 1790 by Theo Muller. Theo Muller was a German gunsmith who immigrated to the US and hand made fine rifles and pistols. The top of the barrel is hand engraved, "Theo, Muller". The rifle has rich grained wood with a deep swirling leaf and floral design and has a heavy forged and rifled octagon barrel. The patch box door is part of the carved stock and exposes the original early tools. The butte plate is also forged iron. Excellently detailed early firearm. The rifle is in rare exceptional condition. This has a set trigger and straight hair trigger. Overall measures 51.75"L.

This is a legal agreement between you, the user or buyer, and North American Auction Company. You must be at least 18 years old to bid. North American Auction Company. All sales are made on an AS IS - WHERE IS WITH ALL FAULTS basis. All buyers are urged to physically inspect the item during the inspection period. No bids can be withdrawn after the auction for any reason. BUYER agrees that these terms as well as all other terms set forth below, can be amended or revised only in writing, signed by the auctioneer. In the event of legal proceedings arising from this contract or from the auction in connection therewith, buyer consents to being subject to the personal jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Montana. Buyer also agrees that venue shall be in Gallatin County, Montana and that the laws of the State of Montana shall govern this Agreement and the parties' transaction hereunder. The BUYER expressly agrees to indemnify and save the Auction Co., Seller and their assigns harmless from and against all claims, losses, expenses, damage or liability, (including, but not limited to, attorney's fees), directly or indirectly caused by or resulting from Buyer's negligent acts or omissions or breach of this agreement, except for damages caused by or resulting from the Auction Co.'s sole negligence. All items must be paid for prior to removal; if storage arrangements are not made in advance of bidding on items. Storage will start March 22th 2015 and will be charged $10 per day per item. If there is a dispute on the authenticity of an item, the only professional opinion that will be considered is from a curator of a well-known museum.
