Breckinridge</B></I>- clipped signature, moderate foxing. Good condition.<BR><B>Simon Bolivar Buckner</B></I>- signature card, fine condition.<BR><B>Simon Bolivar Buckner</B></I>- Endorsement on partially printed Confederate receipt. Ink stains, else fine condition.<BR><B>Basil Duke</B></I>- signature card, very fine condition.<BR><B>Basil Duke</B></I>- ALS, 2 pages, 8" x 11.5", November 27, 1864, Mossy Creek, Tennessee, to a Captain J. D. Landford. In this very rare letter Duke conveys intelligence about Union forces around Knoxville by writing, "<I>...the 10th Michigan Regt is at the Plains, numbering about 300 and that the rest of their forces is at the Fair Grounds...</B></I>". Basil Duke assumed command of John Hunt Morgan's forces upon the latter's death in September, 1864.<BR><B>Basil Duke</B></I>- ALS, one page, 7.25" x 9", November 29, 1864, Mossy Creek, Tennessee, to Captain Landford. A continuance of Duke's correspondence regarding Yankee positions and plans.
