Kenneth Steel was a painter in watercolour, engraver and lithographer and a poster designer. Born in Sheffield in 1906, his father was G.T Steel an artist and silver engraver. Kenneth Steel studied at Sheffield College of Art under Anthony Betts. He is represented in several public collections. Steel achieved a prolific output of artwork for the UK railways, producing posters. He was based in Crookes, Sheffield for the majority of his career.
