Dallas Police identification card made to denote items discovered via search warrant executed at Ruth Paine’s home, where alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald stored items and his family resided, following the Kennedy assassination, one page, 11 x 8.5, reading: “Search Warrant. Ruth Paine’s, Irving, Texas, 11/23/63.” Signed and certified along the right edge in red felt tip by Captain Will Fritz, “I certify this as an original warrant card….Dallas P. D., J. W. Fritz.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a limited edition 1969 book entitled “Retired Dallas Police Chief Jesse Curry reveals his personal JFK Assassination Files,” containing a rare signature and inscription inside by Curry, in which similar identification cards can be seen in photographs of Oswald’s possessions recovered from Paine’s home. Material from the Dallas Police Department’s investigation into the Kennedy assassination is very scarce and highly sought after. From the collection of Robert White.
