Collection of documents and photographs once belonging to Harold R. Dobson, an FBI agent assigned to the St. Louis office who was sent to Dallas to assist in the investigation of the Kennedy assassination. Includes eight original vintage glossy photographs, ranging in size from 5 x 3.5 to 9.25 x 2.25, with subjects including: the Carcano Model 91/38 rifle allegedly used to shoot JFK; a photo of Oswald's New Orleans mug shots with known aliases written on the reverse (variations of his own name and "A. Hidell"); three views of the interior of the Texas School Book Depository; and three views of Dealey Plaza as seen from the Texas School Book Depository's windows. Documents include an envelope addressed to Dobson in St. Louis; a personnel file copy of a letter from J. Edgar Hoover to J. Gordon Shanklin, recognizing those who "contributed in such a splendid fashion to the investigation of the assassination of the President"; a King's Club of Dallas guest membership card issued to Dobson; and a packet with a list of "Special Agent Personnel" assigned to the investigation who were residing at the Adolphus Hotel, along with scheduling information. In overall fine condition.
