Printed invitation for an event honoring his mother in Quincy, Massachusetts, on June 1, 1952, 5.25 x 4, featuring the text, “Tea and Reception in honor of Mrs. Joseph P. Kennedy and her son Congressman John F. Kennedy.” Attractively mounted, matted, and framed with an image of JFK and Rose Kennedy together. In very good condition. Congressman Kennedy launched his intensive campaign for Senate in early 1952, contesting the powerful Massachusetts politician Henry Cabot Lodge. Rose Kennedy was the driving force behind these ‘Kennedy Teas,’ which she hosted to draw attention to the campaign and earn the support of women voters. An uncommon early Kennedy piece related to his innovative campaign strategies.
