Date "September 20, 1928" has been penned in white ink on mount beneath card and rewritten in blue ink at a later date. Kenesaw Mountain Landis, elected the first Commissioner of Baseball on November 12, 1920, helped restore public confidence in the sport following the "Black Sox" scandal of 1919. He served until his death on November 25, 1944, the year he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Card in very fine condition. Black photo mount paper has one horizontal and two vertical folds.
