Ken Q. Li is a Canadian sculptor renowned for his exceptional craftsmanship in fossil stone. Born in 1958 in China, Li began sculpting at an early age, apprenticing in jade carving before advancing to work with various stones, including jade, marble, and soapstone. He further honed his skills at the Guangdong Art and Crafts College in Canton, China, where he studied both traditional Chinese and Western carving techniques.

After moving to Canada in 1997, Li settled in Edmonton, Alberta, where he drew inspiration from the region's rich wildlife. His sculptures often depict animals such as bears and owls, skillfully rendered in fossil stone—a material that enhances the natural textures and patterns inherent in the stone. Blending Eastern and Western artistic traditions, Li's work is celebrated for its detailed realism and expressive form.

Li's pieces are featured in galleries across Canada and have been collected internationally, reflecting his status as a distinguished artist in the realm of fossil stone sculpture.
