Kelly Freas - Original Pulp Illustration (undated). Whether you've seen his work gracing record covers, book jackets, or the covers of Mad Magazine, there's no doubt that, unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last half-century, you've seen the work of Frank Kelly Freas. Best known for a cover he painted for Analog in 1953 (which later became the cover for Queen's News of the World album), Freas' work has also graced such diverse publications as Weird Tales, Planet Stories, Mad, and paperback covers too numerous to count. This piece is rendered in pen and ink on textured board, measures approximately 8" x 10.75" with an approximate image area of 6" x 8.5", is in excellent condition, and is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
