Nice pair of marked Kelly Bros. (1911-1939) spurs with unmarked leather with chord weave pattern. Large rowels, 3" diameter, six spikes per rowell. "Y" stamped in the leather from an unknown maker. Arrow pattern engraved on silver overlay. These spurs were originally bought or traded in Chihuahua, but were made in the Amazac region of Mexico. The style migrated to the West Texas region and became popular with cowboys there in the 1920's. Kelly marked in the usual spot. with help from Ken Osborne.
