The Chanticleer Egg is, together with the Royal Danish Egg and Kremlin egg is one of Faberge largest Easter eggs. It was long believed to be an Imperial egg. The Chanticleer Egg is one of three Faberge's Easter eggs with singing-bird mechanisms, of which two also incorporate clocks. Faberge made a similar egg for Rothschild family in 1902.
