<B>Katharine Hepburn Signed Handwritten Letter on Spencer Tracy's Passing, 1967.</B></I> A personal letter from Katharine Hepburn to her friend and author Roy Newquist, dated June 29, 1967. Spencer Tracy died just 19 days prior. Intensely private, Hepburn opened up to her friend about Tracy's death, reading in part: "Death is very total... it is a blank wall... here you must paint your futur [<I>sic</B></I>] -- & so must I -- if I can figure out who this new creature is -- I have become so used to being the other side of the coin." Hepburn also references Newquist's book about <I>Guess Who's Coming to Dinner</B></I> (her last film with Tracy): "I think it's fine you doing a book on the movie and any help I'll be glad to give."
