Classical conductor (1859–1940) who endured public scrutiny in 1917 as to his allegiance during World War I. Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo by F. O. Lundt of Berlin, signed vertically in black ink. In fine condition, with a 1904 photographer’s stamp to lower right, and a small area of surface loss to reverse corner.
