American lyricist (1917–2001) behind such hits as Elvis Presley’s ‘Teddy Bear,’ The Dovells’ ‘Bristol Stomp,’ Chubby Checker’s ‘Let’s Twist Again,’ and Charlie Gracie’s and Andy Williams’s ‘Butterfly.’ Original 1960 issue sheet music to Danny and the Juniors’ ‘Twistin’ U.S.A.,’ signed and inscribed on the front cover in black felt tip with song lyrics, “To Jim Weaver, ‘They’re twistin in Cleveland, in Kansas City too.’ Kal Mann.” An area of white-out below the inscription and a price tag affixed to the cover, otherwise fine condition.
