Beautiful set of King Albert pattern sterling silver flatware by Whiting and Gorham. This listing is for a service for eight (8), a total of 40 pieces of sterling silver.
<p>King Albert is an elegant pattern of beveled and
beaded
lines with a bell flower hanging from a Chippendale style pediment at the top of the handle. It is named in
honor of heroic Albert I, King of the Belgians who
personally lead his army against vastly superior German forces
in one of the first actions of World War I.
<p>The pattern was introduced by Whiting in 1919. Gorham
continued producing the pattern after buying Whiting in 1926.
<p><p>The set includes:

8 "Old French" Dinner Knives (stainless steel
blade): 8 5/8 inches

8 Dinner Forks: 7 1/4 inches

8 Salad Forks: 6 1/4 inches

16 Teaspoons: 5 7/8 inches
<p>All pieces in very good used condition. No dings or dents. Only some
scratching from use, but no other damage.<p>NO
MONOGRAM.
<p>All pieces marked STERLING with Gorham maker's mark as seen in photo. Six (6)
salad forks bear the Whiting mark.
