KENNEDY, ROBERT F.
(1925 - 1968) American politician who successfully managed his brother John's presidential campaign and was later appointed Attorney General. He was assassinated in 1968 while running for president. Good content T.L.S. as Attorney General, 1p. 4to., [Washington], May 22, 1964, a carbon copy letter to Rabbi Jacob Weinstein of Chicago regarding his support of the newly-established John F. Kennedy Memorial Library in Cambridge. In part: ""...I have received...a generous donation to the John F. Kennedy Library in honor of your twenty-fifth Anniversary celebration at K.A.M. Temple. This is to express my deep appreciation and that of the family to both you and Mr. Gale. We are very grateful for the thoughtful way in which you chose to honor President Kennedy's memory..."". Boldly signed in blue ink. One small marginal tear, else in very good condition, with the original transmittal envelope.
