K. Hornath Signed Engraved and Gold Inlaid Ljutic Mono-Gun TC Single Barrel Trap Shotgun with Original Box

This example is engraved with a game scene on the left side of the receiver and barrel shoulder showing fifteen ducks in flight over a marshy area with cattails. Three of the ducks are gold inlaid. The right side shows a gold inlaid dog pointing at two gold inlaid quail with a third engraved quail on the barrel shoulder along with a tractor, barn and silos in the background. The bottom of the receiver has a rose gold inlaid gamebird with a silver or white gold inlaid birch tree. There are flourishes of floral scroll engraving on the remainder of the receiver, trigger guard, break button, barrel shoulders and forearm knuckle. The gun is signed "K Hornath" just underneath the hand engraved "Ljutic" maker's marking. The barrel has two white bead sights, is choked .043 with several wad stripping rings and a 2 3/4 inch chamber with an ejector. Mounted on a beautifully figured, hand checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a SoftTouch style recoil reducer and a Pachmayr recoil pad. Length of pull is 15 1/4 inches. With original box numbered to gun.

Excellent, 98% plus of the original blue finish remains with some minor high edge and handling wear. The engraving remains sharp with nearly all of the gold inlay remaining. The wood is very good with some scattered minor scratches, dings and a recoil reducer installed. The comb is not easily adjustable and the recoil reducer sticks at the front of the stroke. Mechanically excellent. The box is good.
