Clarke Typed Letter Signed on Supreme Court Letterhead.</B></I> One page, 8" x 10.5", Washington, DC, August 20, 1960, to the Kit Carson Council, Boy Scouts of America, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He sends regrets that he cannot respond affirmatively to a request to speak at the council's 50th anniversary banquet, "...We have a heavy argument schedule in October..." Dallas-born Clark was U.S. attorney general from 1946 to 1949 and on the Supreme Court from 1946 to 1967.
