<B>Justice League of America #1 (DC, 1960) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Cream to off-white pages.</B></I> Eight months after their first tryout in <B>The Brave and the Bold </B></I>#28, the Justice League got their own title. Murphy Anderson did the cover on the premiere issue, with regular artist Mike Sekowsky handling the interior art. Super villain Despero's origin and first appearance provided the backdrop for the full-length story. Aquaman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, J'onn J'onzz, Superman, and Wonder Woman appear. Overstreet 2007 VG 4.0 value = $746; FN 6.0 value = $1,149.
