All we Silver Agers knew was that this great mag featured DC's (really the only players in the superhero game in 1960) superheroes together in one stupendous epic adventure. And we liked it, by cracky! Murphy Anderson rendered the cover art, which introduced the meanie, Despero to the comics world. Mike Sekowsky handled the interior art, and the great Gardner Fox wrote the tall tale. This book is not that easy to find nicer than our offering. Only one other copy has been graded as high as Near Mint by CGC to date. Overstreet 2003 VF 8.0 value = $2,578. <B>Estimate: $1,800-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
