Author, suffragette, dramatist, poet, and biographer (1819–1910), best remembered as the lyricist of “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” ALS, one page, 4.5 x 5.75, December 9, 1905. Short letter, in her difficult to decipher hand, which originally accompanied a sent verse (not included). In part: “The enclosed verse written by a friend of mine seems worthy of a place.” In fine condition, with a couple diagonal creases.
