Author, suffragette, dramatist, poet, and biographer (1819–1910), best remembered as the lyricist of ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic.’ Eerie 6 x 8 image of an artist’s rendition affixed to a sheet of cardboard of the same size, signed in ink, “Julie Ward Howe, Sept. 30th, 1910.” Scattered light creasing, trimmed edges, marks from previous display in a magnetic photo album on reverse, and the signature a shade or two light, but completely legible, otherwise fine condition.
