Vintage 10 x 14 photo of Garland sitting on a mantle in character as Esther Blodgett in the 1954 classic A Star is Born. Photo is affixed to its original identical size photographer’s mount (stamped on the back “Photographer Bob Willoughby; Private Copy”; and “American Society of Magazine Photographers”), signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To dear Charlie—with my love, Judy.” Creasing to lower corners, small surface scratch to lower portion of image, lightly trimmed edges, and a few small edge dings, otherwise fine condition. Garland signing as simply “Judy” indicates that this photo was signed for a close friend or possibly a fellow cast member. A striking signed image from Garland’s most critically acclaimed role.
