TLS in Spanish, signed “Perón,” one page both sides, 9 x 12.75, Ministerio de Guerra letterhead, February 17, 1945. Letter to General Pedro Abadie Acuna, Director of Personnel, calling his attention to the fact that “successive (military) authorities have, without exception, shown indifference or neglect” to complaints concerning “promotions of Officers of the Regular Army in time of peace.” He asks that General Acuna proceeds to re-examine those promotions in view of the existing regulations without making any judgment. Acuna has signed the reverse stating he will give the matter preferential treatment. In very good condition, with scattered toning and foxing, binding holes to left edge, and several office stamps and notations. Perón had many enemies in the Argentine military, and questioning promotions was probably one reason why. A military junta would arrest Perón in October of 1945. RRAuction COA.
