Joyce Kilmer Typed Letter Signed
Joyce Kilmer Typed Letter Signed Joyce Kilmer, one page, 8.5" x 11", on The Churchman letterhead, New York City, December 12, 1912, to Dr. James B. Kenyon, New York City. Best known for his popular poem "Trees", Kilmer was literary editor for The Churchman, an Anglican newspaper. He enlisted during the First World War and was killed in July, 1918. This letter regards submissions and reads in small part: "...when a number of poems are accepted at one time, it is usual for payment to be delayed until the publication of the last of them. However, as soon as the treasurer returns...I will take the matter up with him and see if we cannot settle with you at once for all three of the poems..." Folds as expected, even toning, two small perforations. This is a very scarce letter and has a nice bold signature. Very good condition.
