<B>Journey Into Mystery #114 White Mountain pedigree (Marvel, 1965) CGC NM 9.4 White pages.</B></I> One of Marvel's most memorable superhero battles was Thor's first fight with the Absorbing Man, whose origin and first appearance are in this issue. The Jack Kirby visuals are spectacular. According to lore, the White Mountain collector didn't care about superhero books and only bought these Marvel series out of force of habit because they used to be monster mags. Well, there are certainly no signs that anyone ever read this one. CGC notes, "'65' written on cover in pen. '1-7-65' written on 1st page in pen." Overstreet 2007 NM- 9.2 value = $360.
