Journal of House of Reps, Massachusetts, 1774
A Journal of the Honorable House of Representatives, at a Great and General Court or Assembly of His Majesty's province of the Massachusetts-Bay in New-England (Boston: Edes and Gill, 1774), 101-243 pp., untrimmed, tan library binding with gold lettering, folio (14.25" x 8.75"). This rare publication covers the Massachusetts-Bay House of Representatives during a period (January 26-March 9, 1774) when Revolutionary fervor continued to escalate on the Streets of Boston. Included are speeches by Governor Thomas Hutchinson (1711-1780), the last civilian governor of the Massachusetts colony, as well as references to his controversial 1773 letters on Colonial affairs which stirred up unrest and resulted in his being exiled to England for the rest of his life. This excellent record of events leading up to the American Revolution is in very good condition.

Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
