Journal of House of Reps, Massachusetts, 1771
A Journal of the Honorable House of Representatives of His Majesty's Province of the Massachusetts-Bay in New-England (Boston: Edes and Gill, 1771), 117 pages, untrimmed, tan library binding with gold lettering, folio (14.25" x 8.75"). This rare publication covers the Massachusetts-Bay House of Representatives during a period (May 29-July 5, 1771) when Governor Thomas Hutchinson (1711-1780), the last civilian governor of the Massachusetts colony, was accused of "an abuse of power" for calling the Assembly into session at Harvard rather than in Boston. This excellent record of events leading up to the American Revolution is in very good condition.

Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
