Scientist from Harvard University (1827–1894) who was instrumental in the measurement of atomic weights. ALS, one page, 5.5 x 9, Chemical Laboratory of Harvard College letterhead, June 28, 1886. Short letter to a collector. In full: “If my poor autogaph can afford you any satisfaction I certainly shall not refuse it.” Scattered foxing to left side, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and an unsigned full-length carte-de-visite.
