Handwritten document by Bartlett as a selectman of Kingston, New Hampshire, ordering payment "to John Clifford Jun'r nine shillings for one cord of wood for Mt. Toppan and half a cord of wood for the school on the plain." Signed at the conclusion by Josiah Bartlett and Richard Hubbard. Mounted to a larger sheet, matted, and framed to an overall size of 14.75 x 10. In very good to fine condition, with trimmed edges, creasing, and staining along the top edge.
