African-American expatriate singer and dancer (1906–1975), nicknamed the ‘Black Venus,’ who became one of the greatest sensations of Jazz-Age Paris. Glamorous vintage 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo, signed in fountain pen, “Souvenir de Josephine Baker.” In fine condition, with a bit of light edge wear and soiling, and mounting remnants to reverse.
