Chinese 10 dollar ‘short snorter’ bank note from 1943, signed in ink on both sides by 25 including Joseph Stillwell, twice by Claire Chennault, Major General William Edward Bergin, Chief of Staff Chinese training and combat command China; Major General Thomas Hearn, Chief of Staff USAF 14th Air Force, China, Burma, India theater of operations; Brigadier General Benjamin Ferris, Deputy Chief of Staff US army forces, China Burma India (CBI) theater of operations, and others, most likely staff members. In very good condition, with light to moderate contrast to some of the signatures, and scattered light toning and soiling. A very interesting piece of history, these autographs were signed in September 1944 in Kunming China. Stillwell was made a four star General in August and then relieved of command in October 1944.
