Vintage matte-finish 14 x 11.75 photo of Joseph Chamberlain working at his desk, signed in the lower border in fountain pen, "J. Chamberlain, March 33th, 1905," who adds a quote above, "'Hear! for thy children speak from the uttermost parts of the sea.' Kipling's Song of the English." Lower left bears a printed caption: "Copyright 'Daily Mirror.'" Affixed to a same-size mount. In very good condition, with a vertical crease through the image, and foxing, dinging, and a tear to the borders. A large and uncommon pose, with a particularly excellent Kipling quote.
