Mobster (1905–2002) who became boss of one of the most prominent crime families in the world. A pair of Bonanno’s personally-owned and -worn eyeglasses made by American Optical, featuring translucent gray plastic frames and bifocal lenses. The left temple is imprinted in white “AO American Optical 5 3/4,” and the right temple is imprinted “5 3/4.” Also includes a personal check, 6 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Bonanno, payable to Keller’s Drug for $15.58, May 25, 1973. In addition to signing the check, Bonanno initialed the memo field. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a photocopy of a certificate of authenticity from Rosalie Bonanno, his daughter-in-law, certifying the “pair of plastic rimmed American Optical bifocal glasses worn by Mr. B.” Rosalie Profaci, niece of crime boss Joseph Profaci, married Bonanno’s son, Salvatore ‘Bill’ Bonanno, in 1956, uniting two Mafia dynasties.
