Austrian composer and music theorist (1883–1959) most famous for developing a method for composing with all twelve notes of the chromatic scale. AMS in German, eight pages on two sets of adjoining sheets, 8 x 11.5, no date. Untranslated manifesto discussing matters such as “Musico-Symbolism,” “Absolute Music,” “Is There Such a Thing as Religion?,” “Musicians’ Idea-Music,” the “Composition Compost Heap of Judaeo-Greek-Latin-Christian Cultural Ideas,” “Twelve-Tonal Playing,” and “Plagi-au-thor Societies.” In fine condition, with central vertical and horizontal folds and uniform toning. A fine example of Hauer's idiosyncratic tastes and style.
