Manufactured in the early 1940s for Denmark and the United States Marine Corps, the latter using the arm at the start of the Pacific Campaign, where it’s ability to be rapidly taken down and reassembled made it ideal for stowing in a paratrooper's jump bag. Blade front and adjustable 1,000 meter rear sight, with ".30-06/M/ 41" marked on the barrel flange, "CAL. 30-'06 SEMI-AUTO./"JOHNSON AUTOMATICS/MODEL OF 1941/MADE IN PROVIDENCE R.I. U.S.A./A5370 and five line patent markings on top of the receiver, and a five-pointed star over "CRANSTON/ ARMS/ CO." in a triangle on the right side below the rear sight. Mounted with a smooth two-piece walnut pistol grip stock with a steel checkered buttplate and green canvas sling.

Excellent. The rifle retains 97% of the original parkerized finish, showing some light handling marks overall. The stock is fine as refinished, with exception of some light hairline cracks around the rear sling swivel, there is a small filled area on the forearm and mild pressure dents. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
