John Young's training-used double-sided Apollo 11 "CSM TLC/TEC Star Chart, Launch July 18," measuring 8.25˝ in diameter, signed on one side in silver ink, "From My Collection, John W. Young." The chart has "North" on one side and "South" on the other, with stars and constellations charted in white, and colored dots for planets and the TEI (trans-earth insertion), LOI (lunar orbit insertion), and TLI (translunar insertion) points. Two notable stars on the "North" side are are "DNOCES" (actually Iota Ursae Majoris) and "NAVI" (actually Epsilon Cassiopeiae), so named to honor the crew of the ill-fated Apollo 1: "Dnoces" is "Second" spelled backward, commemorating Ed White II; and "Navi" is "Ivan" spelled backward, Gus Grissom's middle name. "REGOR" (actually Gamma Velorum) appears on the "South" side, which is Roger Chaffee's name backward. In fine condition.
