<B>John Young - Lot of Six Signed First Day Covers</B></I> postmarked September 29, 1967, at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida celebrating the release of Scott #1331-1332. This <I>se tenant</B></I> pair of stamps picture an astronaut walking in space tethered to a Gemini space capsule and commemorate the first U.S. walk in space by Ed White of Gemini 4. John Young is one of the most-traveled astronauts in U.S. history. In his long career at NASA, he flew on six missions (the first to do so) including Gemini 3, Gemini 10, Apollo 10, Apollo 16 (where he walked on the moon), STS-1, and STS-9. None of these covers are cacheted and all have the stamped address of Dr. Coons beneath the stamps. Three feature pairs of stamps and three have blocks of four. Young neatly signed all on the left side in blue ink. Very fine condition. <I>From the estate of Dr. D.
