Twelvemo. 302 pages.<BR><BR>Publisher's green cloth with silver spine titles. In pictorial dust jacket. Book edges show mild wear. Trivial toning to the textblock edges, but overall, the text is clean and in excellent condition. Dust-soiling and light rubbing to the dust jacket panels, with minimal edge and corner wear. Overall, a near fine copy of Wyndham's seminal novel.<BR><BR>"The triffids seem a beneficent plant until human greed and mismanagement turn them into quasi-sentient, mobile flora that threaten to take over Earth, reducing man to small enclaves for survival. In the end a 'weapon' to destroy them seems possible but does not yet exist. Fine pace and excellent narrative. Good post-catastrophe analysis."
