Each book is 246 pages, respectively. <BR><BR>Leather spine over marbled vellum boards with gilt spine lettering. Moderate wear on binding with bumps and some cracking. Mild to moderate toning in the paper. Overall very good condition.<BR><BR>Full titles: <I>A New World. The First Book. The Discovery of a New World. Or, A Discourse Tending to Prove, That 'tis Probable There May Be Another Habitable World in the Moone. With a Discourse Concerning the Possibility of a Passage Thither</B></I> and <I>The Second Book, A Discourse Concerning a New Planet. Tending to prove, That 'tis Probable Our Earth is one of the Planets</B></I>. <BR><BR>English clergyman John Wilkins (1614-1672) was married to Oliver Cromwell's sister, Robina. He is the only person in history to have headed colleges at both Oxford and Cambridge.
