<B>John Wilkes Booth: A Scarce Tintype Portrait.</B></I> While there are numerous varieties of <I>cartes de visite</B></I> depicting Lincoln's assassin, we have encountered only a few which incorporate a tintype image. The photograph is displayed through an oval opening surrounded by embossed decoration. The tintype itself is actually rectangular and measures 20mm x 27mm. The portrait itself is in pristine condition, while the mount shows light "aging".
