Appointment of Hardin by Sheriff Robert M. Glover on a state of Texas warrant for Robert Halliburton, one page, both sides, 8.5 x 7, August 2, 1897. On the reverse of the document Glover writes, "I hereby appoint Jno. W. Hardin as special Deputy Sheriff to execute this writ. R. M. Glover Shff. G[lover] C[ounty].” Scattered light toning and soiling, and show-through from writing on reverse, otherwise fine condition.
