Vintage glossy 9.5 x 8 photo of Wayne arriving at Detroit’s Sheraton-Cadillac Hotel to make an appearance for The Searchers, with Detroit police officer, and noted area collector, Louis Schlosser standing vigil on the sidewalk, signed and inscribed in black ballpoint “Good luck Louis, John Wayne,” and also signed by Schlosser, who has circled himself in the image. Lightly trimmed edges, Wayne’s signature a few shades light, but completely legible due to skipping and decreased ink flow, and some light rippling from adhesive on reverse, otherwise fine condition. A newspaper clipping and informational caption have been affixed to reverse.
