<B>John Wayne Autographed</B></I> <B><I>The High and the Mighty</B></I></B></I> <B>Screenplay.</B></I> The granddaddy of such all-star disaster movies as the <I>Airport</B></I> series, <I>Skyjacked,</B></I> and <I>Airplane!,</B></I> <I>The High and the Mighty</B></I> (1954) was one of the first Wayne-Fellows productions, and until relatively recently was unavailable for public consumption due to a dispute over royalties. This is actress Karen Kramer's copy of the final draft of the screenplay, dated July 15, 1953, and autographed by castmates John Wayne, Claire Trevor, Jan Sterling, Paul Fix, David Brian, Laraine Day, and many others on the reverse of the interior pages. Kramer played "Nell Buck" in the film (billed under her maiden name of "Karen Sharpe"), and this script also features many handwritten notes by her in pencil and ink throughout.
