Vermillion itself is a city in the far, far future. One inhabitant of this city is Jonathan Cave, who meets with a man named Fry and begins to tell him a story... a story of the end of the previous universe and how the new universe - which is the city of Vermillion - was created. This cover for issue #9, features Cave at a window in which stands a beautiful, mysterious woman. Penciled and inked by <B>Swamp Thing</B></I> alumni, John Totleben, this art is a study in texture and mood. The art is drawn on a 11.5" X 17.5" sheet of heavy illustration board with a 10" x 15" image area. The work has some pencil smudging across the entire surface, but it is generally bright and well-kept. <B>Estimate: $800-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
