American theater manager (1829–1894), most famous for operating Ford's Theatre at the time of the Abraham Lincoln assassination . ALS, two pages, lightly-lined on two adjoining sheets, 6.25 x 8, June 13, 1859. Letter to “John,” John B. Wright, who would later be the stage manager at Ford’s Theatre on the night of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.
