Signed and inscribed in black ink in French, with Steinbeck adding a small sketch of a bird beneath his name. In very good condition, with mild toning along the page edges and understandable tears to two pages where they were improperly separated at the factory. The volume has had its boards professionally replaced. A unique post-war foreign language volume illustrating Steinbeck’s worldwide appeal.
