Richardson, John M. CONNECTICUT CENTS ON WHICH THE THREE GRAPEVINES SHOULD SHOW ON THE SHIELD OF SHARP SPECIMENS. Half-sheet of paper, typewritten on one side, with a pencil rubbing of both sides of a 1788 Connecticut copper with the E reverse, clearly showing the £-shaped grapevines. Signed in ink by Richardson. Removed from scrapbook. Very good or better. A very interesting signed document from this important collector of early American coins. Items signed by Richardson are rarely encountered. He died aged 84 in 1948. We have, however, encountered at least one other copy of this, indicating that he sent it to a few of his fellow collectors.
